Now to finish the questions needed for the award...

Questions written by the lovely lady who nominated me: AyeJay.

1. If you had to pick one: Gummy bears or jellybeans?

Jellybeans. So many flavours.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up?

Ballerina (4-8 years old)

Archeologist (8-10 years old)

Detective (10-12 years old)

Then lawyer, doctor, teacher, weather lady, kids presenter, teacher.

3. Is there a country in the world you would love to visit one day? Which one?

I want to visit all countries.

4. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Defend your answer (making use of my philosophy degree...?).

Chicken. God made all of the animals fully formed, I reckon.

5. What is your favourite time of day?

Dusk.

6. Why did you start blogging?

Creative outlet. Also, did not have a job, and the house was very very clean already.

7. Do you have a strange talent? What is it?

Sadly, I can put my fist in my mouth. Not really a talent, just strange.

8. If you have to only dress in one colour for the rest of your life, what colour would it be and why?

Blue. Just because sometimes I don't feel like wearing red, but I always can deal with blue.

9. Latest craze of moustaches: yay or nay?

Yay.

10. If you could be anyone in world, past or present, for an entire day, who would it be...and why?

Ty from American Home Makeover. Partly to stop him being so annoying, also to be there when they "Move that bus!"

11. What inspires you?

Nature. God. Creative friends. Real moments.

liebster award

So, I have been nominated for this award by AyeJay from L&P to English Tea.

It's called the Liebster award, and it basically to raise awareness of new blogs. The basic idea is to answer the following questions, and then nominate other bloggers who have under 200 followers.

So here 'tis.

1. I really really like radishes. Always have. Always will.

2. I am half adopted. My Mum re-married, and my step-Dad legally adopted me.

3. I am obsessed with old things. Anything with a story really.

4. I am an English teacher.

5. It irritates me when people use apostrophes or semi-colons incorrectly.*

6. I love the crunchy uncooked kernels left at the bottom of the bowl after all of the popcorn is gone.

7. I first moved out of home when I was in my last year at school.

8. I get really clucky over cute animals.

9. I love children's books and films. Sometimes more than adult ones.

10. I am a hoarder by nature. It's just that I can't bear to throw things away that might have a use one day. But I am getting better. I promise.

11. American Home Makeover makes me cry. I know it's cheesy. It's just that it's just so darn inspirational.

*now I am going to have to go through my whole blog to check that I'm not being hypocritical. Darn!

Last weekend my other half and I ventured up into the South Waikato. Not only did we walk across a historical swing bridge, eat boutique cheese, and visit the RD1 shop, we also discovered the South Waikato Pigeon Club. Thank-you South Waikato for a wondrous weekend.

Here is a face carving in the rocks behind an old dam dated 1932. Such a gem to discover.

Crafty wee day.

A few weekends ago I had a bit of a crafty wee day. This pinboard is what ensued. Now I have a beautiful, but practical thing to pin notes on at work!
