Recently I finished reading "Good Wives" by Louisa May Alcott. I originally brought it because it was beautiful, and the title made my slight feminist self chuckle ironically.
Despite the name, the book was as beautiful on the inside as it was on the out. It did indeed make me want to be a better wife, kinder self, and more patient human being.
"Good Wives" is actually part two of "Little Women", and was originally written in 1869. It is most definitely well worth a read.
