There's something about dusk

There is really something about going for a walk at dusk. Things that are mundane in the day time, fade into beautiful silhouettes. Windows begin to light up to reveal people preparing dinner. Watching t.v. Reading the paper. A soft breeze presses against your face and catches trees that are fast becoming skeletons. And an overwhelming sense of peace descends the city. Ah, I love dusk.

Mrs Harris Goes to New York

You must read this book SOON! Your heart will melt when you read about Mrs Ada Harris, an old 'char' lady living and working in London. Not only is Mrs Harris lively, she is also adventurous, cheeky, and bold. The story follows Mrs Harris, and her friend Mrs Butterfield, as she sets off on an adventure to find the lost father of the foster boy from next door.
Mrs Harris goes to New York is written by Paul Gallico, who also wrote The Snow Goose. Which is very good, but quite sad and depressing. But don't worry, this is nothing like that. It is funny and cute, and dare I say it, heartwarming.

Here is a couple of my favourite snippets from this charming book:
